MY DREAM, MY FUTURE

“A man without dreams is like a tree without leaves.” Our dreams will serve as who we are in the future, as long as we work for it.
Yes, we have all our dreams in life. Dreams with different purposes in life. As they have always said, “Success is impossible without patience and perseverance.” Being a typical teenager, I have been dreaming of a better kind of living. I have been surrounded with a lot of dreams in life. And one of these dreams I would like to fulfill is to become either an Accountant or taking up BS Physics then I’ll apply it to become a Physics teacher in secondary.
It’s really a big decision becoming what you are in the future. Sometimes it’s really very difficult for us to choose what we will be in the future. Once you have mistaken, you can never bring back what has been lost. Just like a broken egg, you can still assemble the broken pieces but then again there will be cracks already and it will never be as perfect as it was before.
How I wish I could fulfill all my dreams and aspirations in life. And I know I can achieve it through Education. This will serve as a key for me in opening a bright future.
In reality, an exquisite future is waiting in a man who is hardworking in reaching for his dreams in life. Through the help of the Lord Jesus Christ nothing is impossible to attain.

WHAT DOES IT REALLY TAKE TO BECOME AN ICT STUDENT?

Discipline, focus, hard work and sacrifice. These are the special qualities I have given in becoming an ICT student.
Yes, I was once an ICT student since 1st Year and until now that I am a 4th Year student. Indeed I have been through many challenges along the way. Challenges that kept me strong and brought out the best in me. It was really a great sacrifice for me to maintain the grades suitable in order to stay still in the Special Science Class. I gave my all and yet all my best just to tackle all the obligations and responsibilities.
I am so thankful that these obstacles and problems along my way shaped me as a better person, as a better student. For I was able to develop discipline, hard work, focus and sacrifice.
I have sometimes asked myself: What does it really take for me to become an ICT student. And the answer was then found by me that, as long as we give it all, we can really be deserving of achieving anything.

KANNAWIDAN: YLOCOS FESTIVAL

Ilocos Sur annually celebrates its Kannawidan Festival. This is an event where we can witness great cultures, rich traditions and high quality products of Ilocanos. This Festival aims to create awareness on the preservation of the province’ rich cultural heritage, practices and traditions and a showcase of the different agriculture and industry products.
This Kannawidan Ylocos Festival celebrates the 193rd anniversary of the founding of Ilocos Sur. This event paves the way to the creativity of Ilocanos as we can see now at Vigan.

KEEPING IN MIND OUR MOTHER TONGUE

Many invaders came and tried to invade our country. The cultures, traditions, beliefs some of these were really affected and yet had vanished. But one important thing is that or dialect was able to stand through years and had survived.

Philippines is rich in many dialects. One of these is the dialect which is known as the third most-spoken language of the Republic of the Philippines. Yes, its the ILOCO, the Ilocanos medium of communication. We must be proud Ilocanos because Phlippines is a country of remarkable linguistc diversiy. There are over ninety languages spoken in the country but only seven are considered important and have an extensive written literature and history and our dialect Iloco is included among the seven dialects. This is so important that its because of this dialect where our place got its name. The entire region was then called by the ancient name " Samtoy" from "sao ditoy" which in Ilocano mean "dialect." But as time passes by, I have observed that Iloco is neglected now. For many would like to use other languages. Well its not that bad to learn other dialect but not to the extent that this dialect would be forgotten. Indeed, Iloco is a great dialect, why? Because of the many literary works where this dialect was used. Just like the Biag ni Lam-ang by Pedro Bukaneg . And this is being studied now by the students. That is why in order to know this epic one has to learn Iloco.
It is so important to know this dialect. For this is one way of showing our love and respect to our place. Let us continue using this dialect. Let us keep in mind our mother tongue.Let us communicate through Iloco.

REFLECTION

This third grading was not easy for me!

Yes, third grading is about to end again. Before anything else let me thank all the people who are behind my success. My parents, teachers, classmates, friends and most especially to the Lord. I’m so much thankful for all the information and knowledge I have garnered. Like the HTML tags, HTML image, how to align images, how to adjust the sizes of images. Also the HTML links and Hypertext/Hyperlinks.
And to the fact that we are now on the last stage of our High School or secondary life, we are about to graduate already. I promise myself to apply all the lessons I have learned. I will never forget my teachers who molded the best in me. I can say that all my sacrifices and hardships are worth it.
Success is the fruit of sacrifices. Let us study harder and reach our goals!!!

NEW YEAR, NEW ME

“Let the lesson of the past serve as a teacher in our journey today. May this New year bring out the new us.”
It’s really hard to move in place where we are stuck on. But I must in order to bring out the best in me. This 2012 is known as the Year of the Water Dragon. Different beliefs about this year are one of the topics most talked about. But I believe that it is in our hands lie our future. This New Year I want to bring out the new me. New life, new attitudes. New life in such a way that I’ll forget all those bad memories. I will change the things that can destroy my future. My bad habits, and everything that is really needed to be changed, just to bring out the best in me. New attitudes, but good things will stay. I want to erase the bad attitudes of me that was my weakness and my problems in garnering my dreams. I will use the lesson of the past to travel this journey in life. And nevertheless I will ask the assistance of God in attaining an exquisite future.
Life is full of obstacles and problems. We may succeed and sometimes we fail but we must do our best because I believe our best will take us to the stage of success. I do hope that I can bring out the new me.

MAKING DIFFERENCES

It is a reality that the leaders whom we believe will lead this country are the ones who do graft and corruption. We have just heard from the news about the impeachment of Chief Justice Renato Corona. And what is alarming here is that we, Filipinos are affected of what is happening in the government.
Before anything else, let us try to imagine this country as a progressive, developing yet free from graft and corruption. Isn’t it better to live? But what is really happening is the reverse of this. The poor are always poor and the rich will always be rich. Being a citizen of this country, I want a big CHANGE! A change in which all will be benefitted. And this change I am pertaining to is a change in the leaders of this country. Leaders that are forever loyal to their responsibilities and obligations. Leaders who will seek for the progress of this country. For I believe that a better future is waiting for us if these leaders are also doing the right thing. And all of us can be leaders. We are leaders in our simple ways. Like in helping the programs of our government. Yet through helping the government officials in their tasks and responsibilities in this country.
I am looking forward for a country free from graft and corruption. Altogether let us make a change, let us make a difference. Let us all act for this country.
